This draft supplementary planning document contains guidance for development in relation to the North Somerset and Mendip Bats Special Area of Conservation (SAC). It has been produced jointly by North Somerset Council, Sedgemoor District Council, Mendip District Council, Somerset County Council and Natural England. The guidance has been available on Somerset County Council's website since May 2017, however North Somerset Council would like to formally adopt it as a Supplementary Planning Document in order that it carries greater weight when making decisions in relation to development.

The consultation is open until midnight 30th November 2017.
