Project Information

Aim of this consultation The aim of this questionnaire is to gather the views of Library users and non-users to help shape the future provision of Library services to the Long Ashton area. The questions ask what parts of the library service have been, or are used at present and seek your views on the nature of future provision to the locality.
Close Date 24 Oct 2018 23:59
Consultation Topic
  • Community - neighbourhoods, equalities, youth offending and registrar
  • Education - schools and adult learning
  • Leisure - sports, theatre, museum and tourism
  • Your council - councillors and committees, council tax or strategies
Context for this consultation The Medium Term Financial Plan (MTFP) for 2018/19 contained agreed proposals to make savings of up to £260,000 from Library services between 2018 and 2020. The lease on Long Ashton Library expired in 2017, and the existing premises will have to close towards the end of 2018. The authority is now seeking the views of local residents and businesses on the future nature of provision of library services for the locality in the context of the budget reductions that the authority is required to make.
