Calling all parents! Please tell us what you think about school meals, using this online questionnaire.
This consultation will help set the new contract for school meals in all North Somerset schools. As well as asking parents, we will do some focus groups with pupils in some schools.

You don't have to be any kind of expert to take part in the survey, we welcome everyone's views. But if you would like more information about school meals, here are some useful websites:

As part of the process to produce a new school meals contract, a public on line consultation was published to seek the views of parents to help shape the future service. A range of questions around price, quality and meal options was asked and the feed back from this was used to support the production of the new contract specification.
The result of the survey was in line with our expectations and very similar to the views of head teachers and schools. All this information was collated with that of health and school food professionals to draw up a specification which was used to tender out the school meals contract. This tender process has now concluded and will result in improved food quality and a reduced price to parents for school meals in the future.
